Two ENTs, three specialists, and 10 Doctor visits my blood has been drawn around 13 times.
That’s what my life has been for the past year and a half.
So you’re probably wondering, why? It started with a few weird symptoms, like weight gain and fatigue, but then the symptom list grew.
I would gain 10 pounds in ONE month without any diet or workout changes. I would be extremely tired when I woke up; then when I went to sleep, my bones would ache and cramp so much I would just lay on the floor to stretch them out. I’ve had crazy rashes go from my thigh to my foot. I have more stretch marks then I could ever imagine having and that’s not even all.
Walking out of doctor offices with the doctor being just as confused as you are is hard. The tests come back clear and then we’re always back to square one. All of this is why I put the ‘Fitness’ tab on here on hold. I didn’t feel qualified to give my health and exercise tips and tricks because I felt like I had lost all of my knowledge during this time. What I thought I knew and what I learned in my health classes no longer worked for me.
I’m not sharing all of this to complain or gain anyone’s pity, BUT in hopes of reaching someone who is in the same boat as me and may feel alone! You’re not alone and this bump in the road won’t stop you! From now on, I am going to try to share more with you and keep you in the loop. Some days are better than others but that’s just the way it is right now in my life!
I have another appointment today to see what to do next, but I still workout 5-6 days a week, as well as eat a balanced diet of 85/15. That means 85% of my food in a day is healthy, wholesome foods and15% is little splurges like a bit of chocolate! That’s really all I have planned right now and I will keep you updated here and via stories on Instagram if anything changes or if we find an answer!
